two shots from a retreat i took in august
an osage orange
I found it while out on a walk
silly? maybe. but i was quite taken (not sure i'd ever seen one before)
and the physical feel of this thing
is even cooler than its visual texture
the sky as I was leaving.

this shot
made going back to the city much harder.just to put it out there,
i miss the days when i could just pop a roll of fuji in my hand-me-down pentax and go.
half the fun of shopping for choir tours when i was a teen,
was buying tons of film with my mom.
...not to disparage the convenience of my camera phone, mind you;
it definitely saves money on trips to Sam's for film development.
and i WILL learn to work in a darkroom some day.
after all, i have too many undeveloped rolls of film in the basement not to.

still, i'd jump up and down like a giddy little school kid for another eos. or a refurbished T-50.
